To set the record straight, the correct title of the song, written by Bob Dylan and Rick Danko is: This Wheel's On Fire.
Great show! Crisp as all get out recording. I love aud's that were done with the quality heard here. Love the pedal steel on Pride Of Cucamonga.

Thanks to all the great tapers this tour. Quality has been well above average. Felt this show was very good but have heard or been to some this tour that were just simply awesome. The lineup works well for me, maybe best since Warren, Jimmy, and Rob.

Subject: Second Set - Phenomenal!
Subject: Second Set - Phenomenal!
The first set was well played and featured some nice vocals by Jackie, but they stuck to the songs, and really didnt take any chances. Why would Phillip Chapman Lesh, the godfather of intergallactic improvisation, put his players on such a tight leash? The answer would be forthcoming in the form of 2 hours of non-stop rock n roll aggression...
"Writing about music is like dancing about architecture..."
Words alone cannot do the second set justice. The beginning of the set contained a short but pretty Playin in the Band and a very powerful Wheel. The bustout of Jack Straw, after many teases from the prior nights, was met with high-fives, hoots, and pure delight. The rest of the set was an absolute MONSTER - Larry jettisoned the concept of restraint and played with the reckless abandon I'd always hope he'd demonstrate. Molitz once again was amazing with his synth effects on the Unbroken. Jackie owned Lovelight and the lightning-fast tempo of the Casey Jones encore ended the night on a high note, no pun intended. And is there anything more to say about the rhythm section of Phil and Molo?
Friday night indeed will receive the downloads, the discussion, the history book annotations. But do yourself a favor, and do not pass up this show. For often does a group led by a 67 year old rock harder than any band you've seen in years?

Track 4 on Set one says "If your memory serves you well". The real name of the song is "Wheels on Fire".
Great recording. Please post any others from this run.

What a great sounding recording!! Kudos and many thanks to the taper.
You gotta hear the jam in Pride. WOW!! They just keep getting better and better as the tour progresses. Haven't heard many boards that sound as good as this one. Please tape the whole run in NYC.
